Who can benefit?

Anyone with concerns about the development, behavior, social or emotional wellbeing of their child may benefit from a consultation with Dr. Pontillo. Together, we can decide if you and your child would benefit from further assistance, and can work towards a specific plan that suits your family's needs.

When is the right time to seek help for my child?

If you have concerns about your infant, toddler, preschooler or school-aged child, now is the time to act. Research has consistently shown that early identification and intervention yield the most positive outcome.

My child is only 2 years old. Isn't he too young to see a psychologist?
Absolutely not. Dr. Pontillo has extensive experience working with infants as young as 3 months and their parents/families. In fact, early identification and intervention for even the most minor of concerns is known to promote the best overall outcome for both child and caregiver.

I'm unsure I need professional services for my child. How do I know for sure?
This is a difficult question to answer. However if you have any concern, many parents find it helpful to have a complimentary telephone consultation with Dr. Pontillo. Together you can determine whether you and your child could benefit from further assistance.

  • Specific tests designed to assess developmental/cognitive or academic skills.
  • Behavioral observations of the child either within the office, at school, or in the home.
